The Colombian, who saw a January move to Juventus break down at the last moment, has recently been reported as in negotiations with the Nerazzurri to extend his current deal and improve his salary to a level similar to that the Old Lady were reported as offering him two months ago.

The Gazzetta dello Sport today speculate that Guarin is on the verge of reaching agreement with the club over a new contract, which would extend his stay by a further year to June 2017.

The inclusion of bonuses linked to appearances and set sporting objectives will also reportedly push the player’s earnings up to €3m, just shy of Juve’s apparent €3.5m salary tabled in January.

Before all parties sign off, it is understood that image rights and specifics to the economic structure of the deal must first be ironed out.
