Bologna’s President Albano Guaraldi has declared that the club have not received any takeover bids, nor are they in search of any.

Reports over the past few months have linked the Rossoblu with a number of potentially interested parties, whilst last week it was claimed that former President Alfredo Cazzola had come in with a proposition.

That was reportedly in the form of a total €27m investment to take back the club he ran from 2005 to 2008. However, even where the story suggested that the board voted against the offer by believed that it undervalued the club, Guaraldi has claimed that the whole thing was fabricated.

“Bologna is not for sale as we explained in a news release on Saturday. News items on the sale of the club were circulated in an attempt to destabilise the environment.

“And, considering the figures circulated, do you think it is possible that Bologna is valued more than Manchester United?

“I reiterate that Bologna is not for sale and that there have been no offers made.”
