Juve’s 3-0 win over Fiorentina on Sunday sparked several interviews, most of them with Viola President Rocco Commisso, critical of refereeing decisions.
“Football has to rediscover its sense of calm, both in expression and evaluation,” Gravina told reporters at a charity event.

“I met President Commisso this morning and told him a referee can make a mistake, but I will always defend the institutions of the sport.
“I’d avoid stirring up sterile controversy that is not good for football. Commisso is not helping by creating an exasperated atmosphere.
“We as institutions also have to keep a low profile. There has to be reciprocal respect, with everyone communicating within the rules and principles of the sport.
“I told Commisso that this is true of everyone in football. Letting off steam in the heat of the moment was legitimate, but not justifiable.”
