The decision went through another step in the process and the only one remaining is the red tape represented by the Prefecture.
The name change could take place before Sunday’s Serie A game against Sassuolo.

“It is wonderful news,” Toro President Urbano Cairo told Radio 24.
“The Grande Torino side deserves to be remembered eternally for its extraordinary achievements and not just on a sporting level.
“In that post-war Italy, the team gave great hope and strength to begin again. The credit for the name change is not just for me, but for 11,000 fans who signed a petition for the council and Mayor Fassino who had the sensibility to push forward this initiative.”
The Grande Torino side won five consecutive Serie A titles and the Coppa Italia.
