“Being linked with teams like Inter or Juve is flattering,” he told Spox.com. “It makes me proud and shows that I’m doing something right. But I don’t care, I keep busy.
“I can’t wait for the Champions League adventure with Atalanta. Then we’ll see what happens, I’ve never hidden the fact that I would like to play in the Bundesliga.”
Gosens’ value has been set at €30m and he admits it’s hard to understand the price tags in football.
“I find it difficult to understand that, but that’s the reality. The prices are these, as can be seen by the €45m Inter paid for Hakimi.
“Atalanta know I have great record this season and from an economic point of view, it might be understandable to sell me, but I haven’t received any signals from the club yet.
“I’m not interested in the financial aspect, I only care about playing.”
La Dea prepare to face Paris Saint-Germain in the quarter-finals of the Champions League next month and have qualified for another season among the European elite through another top four finish in Serie A.
Gosens thinks the continued success could mean that the Nerazzurri are becoming contenders also in Italy.
“We qualified for the Champions League for the second time, few people expected that. Maybe it’s time to fight for the Scudetto.”
