Roma midfielder Maxime Gonalons believes “you never know what can happen” against Barcelona in the Champions League.

The Giallorossi face a double-header with the Catalan giants next month, having reached this stage for the first time in 10 years.

“We went through the first round despite the difficult group, it was called a group of death,” Gonalons reminded the official Champions League magazine.

“We finished first. That gave us confidence and allowed us to eliminate Shakhtar Donetsk.

“We have a chance though and we’ll give our best. In football you never know what can happen.”
