Parma midfielder Massimo Gobbi reveals that a formal notice for unpaid wages has been prepared, but players expect to be paid.

The Ducali players have gone unpaid all season, and have set a deadline of February 16 [Monday] for payment, or they will serve a formal notice on the club, placing them into administration.

A Press conference is scheduled for later today, but the 34-year-old has discussed the players' situation.

“We must get our heads down and work, because we’re professionals,” Gobbi told Gazzetta di Parma.

“We must not abandon our professionalism, and above all we must not lose our dignity. February 16? The new owner said it too, this is the important date.

“We expect that we’ll be paid our salaries, otherwise we’ll have to serve a formal notice on the club.

“It has already been prepared by our union [the AIC]. Sadly we have to protect ourselves after all these months where everything has happened.

“It’s something we’ve done for the club, too.

“So the 16th is the important date, and we wait confidently.”
