Monaco and Poland defender Kamil Glik revealed he “will be in the stands cheering on Torino” in the derby with Juventus on Sunday.

It kicks off on Sunday at 14.00 GMT, click here for a match preview.

The former Granata captain left this summer, but remains very attached to the squad.

“It’ll be a very balanced game. I think at the start Torino will invite the Bianconeri on, but Sinisa Mihajlovic’s mentality is always to attack and press the opposition,” Glik told Sky Sport Italia.

“After an early period to let the game settle, Torino will start to attack them high up the pitch. I expect a great performance.”

How would Glik recommend the current defenders deal with Gonzalo Higuain?

“It’s wrong to think only about Higuain, because Juve have many strong players, so the focus should be on stopping the whole team.

“Juve are going through a good period of form, just like Torino, so I expect a balanced encounter.”
