Ibrahima Traore admits Borussia Monchengladbach “lacked a bit of courage” against Juventus in Turin, but “tomorrow will be another story.”

The German side took a point in Turin two weeks ago, but the winger insists they’ll be looking for a win tomorrow.

“It’s true that we played a good game defensively in Turin,” Traore admitted in his pre-match Press conference.

“It’s also true that we didn’t create much in attack, at least less than what we’ve been doing in the Bundesliga.

“It’s true that we played a good game defensively in Turin,” Traore admitted in his pre-match Press conference.

“It’s also true that we didn’t create much in attack, at least less than what we’ve been doing in the Bundesliga.

“Maybe we were lacking a bit of courage, but tomorrow will be another story. It will be different, because we’ll be supported by our fans, and we know we need points to keep believing, keep dreaming.

“Tomorrow will be a big test of courage.”

Gladbach have won six consecutive League games since Coach Andre Schubert took over, and Traore attempted to explain their success.

“Many things have changed. It’s true that for every win we get gifts, so he’s been giving us a lot lately, and that’s given us the desire to win more!

“The confidence is back thanks to him, we’ve returned to having major confidence as a team. In the end we’re not far from what we were last year.

“We’ve rediscovered the joy of putting our opponents under pressure, pressing up, taking up very attacking positions on the pitch, and then reaping the benefits.

“We have great potential in attack, but the important thing is the return of our confidence. Andre Schubert has repeated to us many times that we’re good players, and that confidence means we’re functioning properly now.”
