The Biancocelesti haven’t won in their last three Serie A games, and this week President Claudio Lotito held a Press conference to offer his backing to Coach Simone Inzaghi and sporting director Igli Tare.

The owner described the squad as “a Ferrari travelling and reduced speed”, causing the engine to overheat.

“Lazio were well described by the directors,” Giampaolo confirmed in his pre-match Press confernece.

“They’re a Ferrari with an overheated engine, we don’t want to be the mechanic who gets it started again.

“Taking points in Rome would be very important, allowing us to give consistency to our results. I trust my lads, I know the people I coach and who I can count on.

“I know very well who my starters are, and it’s not 11 players but all of them. You can be a starter even if sometimes you come off the bench, the choices have to be put into context and are based on many things.”
