Emanuele Giaccherini believes Italy can stand out at Euro 2020 because of their midfield. ‘Nicolò Barella, Jorginho and Marco Verratti are top players.’
The Azzurri are in Group A along with Turkey, Switzerland and Wales in the tournament kicking off on June 11.
“I can see some similarities between the current squad and the one that did so well at Euro 2016,” Giaccherini told Sky Sport Italia.
“There’s a similar sense of team spirit, but there’s more talent this time around. The midfield in particular is extraordinary, as Barella, Jorginho and Verratti are top players.”
