Juventus midfielder Emanuele Giaccherini is to be fined for displaying an 'offensive banner' during the club's title celebrations.

The 27-year-old produce a placard in May this year that referred to Sulley Muntari's 'ghost goal' in the game between the Bianconeri and Milan that saw Antonio Conte's men hold out for a 1-1 draw, and maintain their unbeaten League record.

But the FIGC's disciplinary committee deemed the banner, which read 'Il gol di Muntari mettilo nel culo', to be worthy of offence and will prosecute against the former Cesena man in due course.

“Today, Juventus midfielder Giaccherini was referred to the National Disciplinary Committee,” a statement read. “We believe there are full ground for a referral, as, during the celebrations that followed the Scudetto won by Juventus, he displayed a banner from the bus, the content of which was deemed to be offensive to Milan.”
