“Every player wants to play in a great club like Barcelona or Juventus, next to the best in the world.
“I'm pleased by the offers that came in so far, but right now my mind is focused on Fluminense.”
However the player may be closer to the Blaugrana than to the Bianconeri.
According to the Catalan publication Sport, Barcelona have neutralised Juve's €16m offer by finding an agreement with the player's father and agent.
Gerson would reportedly move to Barcelona on a five-year contract.
The club from La Liga already secured an option on the player and they take precedence in negotiations.
