Gazzetta dello Sport reports that the 18-year-old arrived at the capital's Fiumicino airport early this morning and that the full deal will cost Roma €17m, with the youngster signing a five-year deal.

However, the report says that Gerson won’t be registered straight away and that his future will be decided in the next few days between his family, agent and the club.

Gazzetta believe that the Brazilian wants to play and that the Lupi are tempted to ship him out on loan.

However, it’s believed that his father wants him to remain in Rome in order to give Gerson time to train and acclimatise ahead of next season.
