Max Allegri's team will kick-off this evening's contest in Turin with one foot in the final, having secured a 2-0 away win over the French club in the first leg.

Speaking ahead of the match at Juventus Stadium, the former Old Lady defender heaped praise on Coach Max Allegri and tipped Juve to become champions of Europe for a third time.

"Juve win because they are a classic team," Gentile explained. "The things that work in football never get old.

"Allegri is a great Coach because he doesn't care about pleasing people. He knows what is best for his team and he does it, full stop.

"Because of that, he will win the Champions League. The return with Monaco is a formality, as is the Scudetto.

"Monaco are a team of kids. They are very good, but they are not ready. The final against Real Madrid is the real match."

Gentile believes the Old Lady will have the quality to overcome their likely opponents in Cardiff on June 3, adding that Los Blancos star Cristiano Ronaldo will not be able to breach the Juve rearguard three times as he did in their semi-final first leg win over Atletico Madrid.

"It will be an even contest but Juve will win. Cristiano Ronaldo will play well again but he will not score a hat-trick against that defence."
