Genoa are set to sign German youth talent Faroukou Cissé as a free agent after he left Borussia Dortmund.
The defender spent his career going through the youth academy of the Bundesliga outfit, but his contract expired this summer.
The 19-year-old has represented Germany at Under-15, Under-16 and Under-18 levels.
He can play as a centre-back, a right-back or a defensive midfielder.
Sky Sport Italia and Goal.com report that Cisse is already in Italy for medical tests before signing a contract.
Although the transfer window in Italy is now closed, clubs can still sign players who are free agents.
