Genoa are set to undergo talks to take full ownership of in-demand Mattia Destro and have also opened the door for Marco Borriello’s return.

Destro is co-owned by Genoa and Siena and the clubs will meet this week to discuss how to solve his contractual situation.

“On Wednesday I will meet Siena President Massimo Mezzaroma to discuss Destro,” Genoa President Enrico Preziosi told Sky Sport Italia. “We must find an agreement.”

Preziosi also revealed his interest in Roma’s Borriello, a player who is searching for a new club this summer. “Can Borriello return to Genoa? Maybe, I am very fond of the boy.”

Borriello spent the 2007-08 season with the Grifone, scoring 19 goals, his personal best.
