Tension is high within the Genoa camp after Giuseppe Sculli and Bosko Jankovic allegedly clashed in training.

According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, the two had to be separated by teammates after things got physical on Tuesday afternoon.

Jankovic is believed to have angered the Italian after a strong challenge and Sculli retaliated with a kick. The Serbian then reacted to that.

New boss Gigi De Canio stopped the session while tempers cooled, but the two continued to exchange words once training resumed.

President Enrico Preziosi, who was watching from the sidelines, was then forced to act as peacemaker.

Genoa, one point and one place above the relegation zone, are in retreat in Milan following Sunday’s trouble at Marassi during their 4-1 loss to Siena.

Disgruntled fans put a temporary stop to the game and then succeeded in getting the players to hand over their shirts which fans deemed they didn’t deserve to wear.
