La Gazzetta dello Sport reports Stefano Pioli is under scrutiny following Milan‘s 2-2 draw against Salernitana.

The pink paper claims Pioli could be sacked after a disappointing 2-2 draw against strugglers Salernitana on Friday.

The Rossoneri haven’t won any away Serie A game in three months and are eight points below table leaders Inter, but their city rivals have a game in hand.

According to Gazzetta, Milan directors are not only disappointed by the results but also by the many injuries suffered by players this season and club directors feel Pioli and his staff have part of the responsibility.

The pink paper claims the coach’s post-match interview on Friday was also not appreciated by the club as Pioli sounded too submissive.

Journalist Luca Bianchin claims Milan directors and owner Gerry Cardinale are now considering the next steps. It is believed that the player’s opinion on Pioli’s future will also be heard. ‘Cardinale’s final decision could go one way or the other,’ wrote Gazzetta.

Calciomercato.com’s Daniele Longo confirmed Pioli is under scrutiny.
