Coming off after just 19 minutes against Lazio with blurred vision, the World Cup-winning midfielder has since had to undergo treatment for a rare eye condition.

However, he has been given the all-clear to make a return to action and confirmed to reporters that he will appear on Wednesday. The Rossoneri face Carlo Ancelotti’s new team PSG as part of both clubs’ mid-season training retreats in Dubai.

“I will play against PSG, but it won’t be for a long time. I have to take it slowly in the beginning, step by step.”

Meanwhile, Massimiliano Allegri commented that he will likely try to give the No 8 at least 45 minutes of game-time.
