Lucas Paqueta’s agent has praised Coach Gennaro Gattuso for being ‘most responsible’ for the midfielder’s immediate impact at Milan.
Paqueta only joined Milan from Flamengo in January but has already become a fan favourite, drawing comparisons with iconic predecessor Kaka.
“He’s made a wonderful impact, both on the club and city, ever since he came in December to get to know the club and find a home,” Eduardo Uram told Milan News.

Paqueta only joined Milan from Flamengo in January but has already become a fan favourite, drawing comparisons with iconic predecessor Kaka.
“He’s made a wonderful impact, both on the club and city, ever since he came in December to get to know the club and find a home,” Eduardo Uram told Milan News.
“He’s really happy with what he’s experiencing with the Rossoneri. I think Gattuso is most responsible for his quick adaptation.
“He’s letting [Paqueta] grow tactically in a defensive sense, but the same time he’s been given a bit of freedom going forward.
“Leonardo was the great director of his transfer. With his intuition, he showed that he immediately believed in the player.
“It wasn’t only Leo, though. I have to say Paolo Maldini and the whole club were also convinced about investing in him, so we closed the deal after just a few meetings.
“Kaka is his real inspiration, but he doesn’t want to be Kaka. Instead he wants to take his own route, although he’ll obviously try to follow Ricardo as an example, both as a professional and as a person.
“I think his main merit is his ability to easily adapt to any position, so certainly he’d adapt to playing further forward in Gattuso’s set-up.
“However, like always, it’s the Coach who knows better than anyone else where to play him, both for his sake and Milan’s sake.
“Things are going in the right way and we’re happy.”
