Gennaro Gattuso insists “I’m not worried” by Milan’s lack of goals because “the important thing is to create chances”.
The Rossoneri have scored only twice in their last four games, and haven’t won any of those, leaving them with a mountain to climb to reach the top four.
“Reading the Press I see you’re focusing on the fact we’re not scoring many goals,” Gattuso began his pre-Torino Press conference by saying.

“I’m not worried, we’re creating a lot. It’s clear we need to improve our finishing but I’m not worried, the important thing is to create chances.
“I’m happy with the mentality of the lads, now we play as a team and know how to suffer together.
“You also need a bit of luck sometimes, we have to go on like this and not break down.”
Nikola Kalinic was whistled in the 0-0 draw with Napoli, but Ringhio defended his striker.
“If you watch the game back he had some great movement, but we weren’t good enough at supplying him.
“His movement is good, it’s true that scoring is crucial but in my opinion he’s been whistled unfairly recently.”
The former midfielder was also asked about the transfer market, and whether attacking reinforcements are needed.
“When I said the other day that the squad is short I didn’t mean I don’t have many players to use,” Gattuso clarified.
“I was talking about how the team is at the moment, we’re asking the attacking players to stay compact, so if we’re not lucid in front of goal that’s a factor too.
“If we’re not compact and we don’t play the ball well then we risk getting caught. Suso always tries difficult plays, he always tries to beat the man and plays a difficult style.
“If he gets past the first man then it gives us numerical superiority, but sometimes there will be mistakes.
“The club will do the transfer campaign, but not many players will arrive.
“I always expect a lot from the collective, I don’t talk about individuals. I don’t want to hear that the team is tired, we did well on Sunday.
“We need to give continuity to what we’re doing and we can’t be satisfied.”
