“There are a lot of regrets, but I am not angry,” the Coach told Sky Sport Italia.

“This is a team with two faces. We played a wonderful first half, but really struggled in the last half-hour. It’s been happening for four rounds now and we just can’t put in a consistent performance over 90 minutes.

“We have to do more, because there are so many games to go this season and if we can’t finish them off when in control, we’re going to be in trouble.

“I think keeping the right shape is very important and we got stretched out in the second half by a combination of fatigue and fear. It’s not enough to play quite well, as that doesn’t get you victories.

“We’ve got to keep up the tempo for longer, as currently we burn brightly, but for a short period of time, then struggle for a good 30-40 minutes.

“This is a young squad and it is growing, but we can’t fall by the wayside. In the final 30 minutes, the team was unrecognisable.”
