Gennaro Gattuso has told Milan fans to not expect too much too soon from returning hero Kaka.

The Brazilian fantasista has moved back to San Siro this summer after four problematic years in Spain with Real Madrid.

“Patience is needed with Kaka,” the Palermo boss, a former teammate of the 31-year-old at Milanello, noted.

“I hope they don’t expect to see the Kaka of the past. The Brazilian hasn’t played that much over the last three years and he hasn’t been expressing himself at his levels.

“Therefore the Milan fans will need to show him some patience because he is a great player and, especially, a great guy to have in the changing room.”

Kaka, who the Italian club sold to Real for a massive €65m, has re-joined the Diavolo on a free transfer after agreeing a two-year deal.
