After returning from international duty, Federico Gatti will reportedly put pen to paper on a new long-term contract with Juventus.

The 25-year-old Italian centre back has experienced a number of highs and lows since joining the Old Lady last year, carving out a spot for himself in the first team and netting his debut Serie A goal, but also being a figure of ridicule after his calamitous own goal in the recent loss to Sassuolo.

Gatti has proven himself a strong centre back for Juventus and has featured prominently under Massimiliano Allegri this season, seeing 468 minutes of action across six games. His work earnt him a call up to Luciano Spalletti’s Italy squad for this international break.

As reported by Tuttosport via TMW, Gatti is finally ready to sign his new contract with Juventus and will put pen to paper after returning from international duty.

His new deal, which extends his stay until June 2028, sees his salary rise to around €1.5m net per season plus add-ons. He currently earns €1m net, one of the lowest earners in the squad.
