Atalanta tactician Gian Piero Gasperini has been named The Coaches’ Coach of the Year in Serie A for the second time in a row.

The Italian Coaching Association has awarded the Panchina d’Oro (the Golden Bench) to Gasperini for the second straight season.

The third place in Serie A and the quarter-finals of the Champions League in 2019-20 has obviously influenced the choice.

The 63-year-old took over in Bergamo in June 2016 and has helped establish La Dea among the best in Italy in recent years, continuing to fight for a place in the Champions League for the third year running.
