News arrived that the 39-year-old has skipped training, causing concern regarding the 39-year-old’s fitness, but Sweden CT Andersson has confirmed it was all planned.

“It’s only been two days since the last game, someone left today’s training immediately, others a little later, but that was all planned,” Andersson said at a press conference.

Andersson denied the reports saying Ibrahimovic should have participated with the group for the first part of the training and then train partially, confirming he was only supposed to ‘warm up’.

“Zlatan is not injured, it was planned that he should only warm up and then go and do some cool down work,” the coach continued.

“Other players who played on Sunday also did the same because usually two days after the game you are at the peak of tiredness.

“Ibra will be with us tomorrow.”
