“Genoa had some good chances in the first half, but one must consider all the 90 minutes. We dominated the second half and a goalless stalemate is a random result.” Gasperini told Sky Sport.

“We did well even if we didn’t score, we gave everything and we stopped their counter attacks in the second half.
“It’s difficult to break the deadlock during these games, if we had scored one it would have been different.
“We’ve had a slow start, but we couldn’t score, we did well on an athletic level.”
