“Tomorrow we are taking on Juventus. There is respect and confidence from all of us,” Gasp told Mediaset Premium.

“This might be the best moment to face a great team. It’ll be a difficult round for us, but we want to do well in front of our fans.”

The Bianconeri don’t seem intent on resting stars ahead of Wednesday’s Champions League trip to Monaco.

“Juve are certainly one of the best teams in Europe, probably in the world right now. They are extraordinary and in the last game with Genoa were dominant. They’re in great shape currently.

“I don’t think their minds will be on Monaco, as they have the hunger and desire to finish off the Scudetto race. A lot is up for grabs over the next month, but the same is true for us. It’s the decisive period before verdicts are reached.

“There’s a month to go before the end of the season, we want to achieve our objective and it would be fantastic to get into Europe. The people of Bergamo desire it and it’d be a disappointment now if we didn’t get there.”

Franck Kessie is available after a knock, but Boukary Drame and Ervin Zukanovic are still on the treatment table.

There are reports that Gasp could revamp his line-up in Bergamo tomorrow evening, dropping centre-forward Andrea Petagna and moving to a 3-4-2-1 formation.

Jasmin Kurtic and Hans Hateboer would support Alejandro ‘Papu’ Gomez in a lone False Nine role.
