Atalanta announce they have extended Coach Gian Piero Gasperini’s contract to 2021, with option for the 2021-22 season too.
The former Genoa and Inter tactician has been in Bergamo since 2016-17.
He took them to the Europa League for the first time in 48 years and came very close to doing it again this season, losing the play-off with FC Copenhagen on penalties.
A statement confirmed “Atalanta and Gian Piero Gasperini have reached an agreement to extend the contract to 2020-21, with option in favour of the Club for 2021-22 too.
