The Orobici are fresh from Thursday’s heart-breaking Europa League exit to Borussia Dortmund, decided by a late goal on Etrit Berisha’s error.

“We received many compliments for our performances over the two legs and that only increased the regret at not qualifying,” confessed the Coach in his Press conference.

“We are disappointed, angry, but not let down. We must be proud of what we achieved. This European experience must give us strength and we have to look beyond it now, throwing our heart and soul into the remaining targets.”

By a quirk of the fixture list, Atalanta will face Juventus on Sunday in Serie A and on Wednesday for the Coppa Italia semi-final, having lost the first leg 1-0 in Bergamo.

“We’d like to win at least one of those games,” said Gasperini. “Juve are a very strong side, you just have to look at the statistics, and the only reason they are not top is because Napoli are having an extraordinary campaign.

“We’ll give it all we’ve got.”

Andrea Petagna will certainly miss this weekend’s match and possibly Wednesday too with a muscular problem.
