Rudi Garcia has spoken about the controversial clash with Juventus, and believes his Roma will pip the Bianconeri to the Scudetto.

Roma lost 3-2 to Champions Juventus in the last round of fixtures before the international break, and the fallout from the match is still going on, notably through Morgan De Sanctis’ interview released yesterday.

Garcia however, believes that the match indicates his side are stronger than Juve, and will go on to lift the title.

“In that game, I saw a Roma side which was stronger than Juve,” Garcia has told a Press conference ahead of the Giallorossi’s game with Chievo.

“This game made me realise who will win the Scudetto. We are stronger than Juventus.

“Because we are stronger, we have to win tomorrow, because we have to talk about results.

“I am concerned about the game tomorrow, because it comes after all the media furore and before the Champions League game [against Bayern Munich].

“The fans must be on our side if we’re to win the Scudetto, because we have to win tomorrow, and the game after that and so on.”

“Why do I think we’ll win the Scudetto? I have my reasons, I’m sure you can figure them out.”

Garcia believes his players share his determination, invoking the club’s symbol as he called for his side to go on and win trophies this campaign.

“I am the guide, the leader of the pack, but they are the wolves.

“When they go out to play they must be aware of their strengths, and show those strengths on the field.

“I'll always be with them. If someone loses the path, I’m here to guide them back in the right direction.

“This year we have to win it all. It won’t be easy, but we have to try.”
