Former Roma Coach Rudi Garcia regrets not being able to give Francesco Totti “the Champions League he deserved”.

The Frenchman guided the Giallorossi to the runner-up position in Serie A for two seasons in a row, but was unable to lift a trophy or make an impact in Europe.

“The capitano has dedicated his footballing life to the Roma shirt, and that’s something amazing and beautiful,” Garcia said on Tiki Taka.

“Maybe he’s been deprived of winning a bit more. If I could have, I’d have given him the Champions League he deserved.”

Totti is turning 40 on Tuesday, and has spent his entire career with Roma.
