“We lost because of a Viviano mistake,” Giampaolo lamented in his post-match interview with Sky.
“Even after that goal we tried to come back, but of the last four defeats, three have come in the final minutes. I think the defeat only came about because of that error at the end.
“Viviano has great confidence in his ability, he could even have put it out for a throw-in. In other circumstances he’s saved us, this time it went wrong.”
Luis Muriel was hooked after less than an hour, and Giampaolo wants to see more from the Colombian.
“He has to be more solid. He went off with a muscular problem, but I always expect more from him because he has the ability to change the game.”
