Rudi Garcia insisted “there’s no shame in drawing with Inter” after Roma hit the brakes last night.

The 0-0 draw at the Stadio Olimpico ended a run of five consecutive Serie A home victories for the Giallorossi.

“We faced a quality side and therefore slightly changed our approach, but after the break we adjusted again and created more scoring opportunities,” said the Coach in his Press conference.

“It was a good draw, a positive result and we tried to win, so there is no shame in drawing with Inter. We have a lot of injury problems at the moment and we hope to get as many of them back as soon as possible.

“Miralem Pjanic wasn’t meant to play at all, as he only 50 per cent fit, but he was courageous and stepped up when the team needed him.”

Daniele De Rossi could be ruled out for some time by the Disciplinary Commission, as he was caught on camera aiming a punch at Mauro Icardi.

Juan Jesus was also spotted with a similar infraction, striking Alessio Romagnoli in the ribs, during the same match.

“I didn’t see what happened. The important thing is for there to be a clear rule, which at the moment there isn’t,” shrugged Garcia.

“It’s also a pity to see the stands empty, especially as this game was shown all over the world and it gives a bad impression of Italian football.”

The Curva Sud, Curva Nord and Distinti Sud were all shut down as punishment for repeated anti-Neapolitan chants, which are considered to be ‘territorial discrimination.’
