Roma Coach Rudi Garcia insists facing Real Madrid is “a nice draw” and wants to see a packed Stadio Olimpico.
The Giallorossi will face the 10-time winners of the Champions League in the Last 16, but the tactician can only see the positives.
“We all watched the draw together,” Garcia explained to Roma Radio.
“For me, it’s a nice draw. To challenge ourselves against a team like Read Madrid who are one of the favourites to win the Champions League is a good thing.

“We all watched the draw together,” Garcia explained to Roma Radio.
“For me, it’s a nice draw. To challenge ourselves against a team like Read Madrid who are one of the favourites to win the Champions League is a good thing.
“We’ll need to pull off a real coup to reach the Quarter-Finals. I hope the Olimpico is packed on February 17.
“I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, it’s very important to have the stadium full. I’ve experienced two years of a full Curva Sud.”
Having played against Barcelona’s Lionel Messi in the Group Stage, the Lupi will now face Cristiano Ronaldo in the next round.
“That’s why we play in the Champions League, to face the best players in the world. For all at Roma it’s a beautiful thing.
“For the moment we’ve seen the Real Madrid players in a friendly, but it’ll be a different thing in February, and I hope to have all my lads back to pull off a coup and reach the Quarter-Finals.
“Our goal has been achieved, so it’s normal the stronger teams come in now. We’re in the Last 16, so all the teams are strong.
“Then there are the favourites to win it, Real, PSG [Paris Saint-Germain], Bayern [Munich]…
“The lads have taken note of the draw, now we have to be fired-up for the Coppa Italia and Genoa.”
