“Last time it was the penultimate game of the season and there was a different context, but we want to win because we are on home turf and we’ll progress in the table,” said Garcia in his Press conference.

“We want to win the derby and recapture first place. The three points tomorrow, those are all that count. It’s unfortunate that we are both not 100 per cent physically because of the European commitments, as that’s not an advantage for us or them.

“Lazio have important players and we studied our opponents on how to get the three points. It remains a special and spectacular match.

“I want Roma to be at 100 per cent or even 200 per cent on every front. If Roma play like Roma, then we can get the victory.”

Unfortunately the boycott of the ultras means the Derby della Capitale will see both the Curva Sud and Curva Nord empty.

They are protesting the introduction of barriers to divide up the section.

“The only thing I can say is that it’s sad if tomorrow we don’t have a full stadium. I’ve already said my bit and made my appeals. Now the only thing I can do is concentrate on the game.”
