Roma emerged 2-1 winners this evening, securing second place and meaning Lazio need a point in the final game with Napoli to enter the Champions League preliminary round.

It was a tense occasion and the two Coaches engaged in a bitter row after the post-match interviews.

Pioli had already criticised Garcia for his “unprofessional” comments in a Press conference on Saturday.

Garcia told Sky Sport Italia that was "part of the show" and nothing more than mindgames.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, when the pair crossed paths at the entrance to the Press area, they got into an argument.

“You are a liar, who you talk about whining,” slammed Pioli.

“You don’t know how to lose. You’ve just got sour grapes,” replied Garcia.

There was also condemnation for Daniele De Rossi, who was pictured during the celebrations holding up his middle finger on both hands towards the Lazio supporters.

Francesco Totti had a T-Shirt prepared straight after the final whistle with a message mocking their city rivals.

‘You’re always talking, what are you going to invent next?’ and on the back it read ‘Game over.’

Another shirt worn by the Roma players made fun of the fact the Derby was moved from Sunday to Monday in order to give Lazio more rest after the Coppa Italia Final.

‘We’ll play you again tomorrow… No more words!’

The tension erupted outside the Stadio Olimpico after the match with some Lazio fans throwing bottles and fireworks at the police.

There was some trouble beforehand, as two Roma fans were taken to hospital with stab wounds. They are not thought to be in serious condition.
