The youth team striker, son of former Rossoneri forward Maurizio, was throw into the squad given the absence of Antonio Cassano, Alexandre Pato and Pippo Inzaghi.
With seven minutes of the tie in Belarus left, Ganz junior replaced Brazilian sensation Robinho.
"It was a really emotional moment for me," the young Italian told Milan Channel. "To make your debut in the Champions League is a dream for everyone.
"I'm very happy on a personal level."
Milan, as a team, were less enthusiastic with the outcome of the tie as they were surprisingly held by the European minnows.
"We didn't manage to close the game in the first half with all of the chances that we had," continued Ganz.
"They then equalised after the break and the Coach threw me on in the hope that we could win, but unfortunately that didn't happen.
"We created so much in the opening 45 minutes, but they improved in the second period and they put us into a little bit of difficulty."
