“Zlatan has such moral strength, a charisma, a determination for which he will always be decisive. In 31 years at Milan I have never seen a player pin another to the wall because he wasn’t trying hard enough.
“I've seen arguments before, but not someone literally being shoved up against a wall. Ibra is like that, and will do it again if he sees a teammate not training hard,” Galliani told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
Despite being 38 years old, the current chairman of Monza insists Ibrahimovic can still make the difference at this level.
“Zlatan will bring a breath of fresh air. Technically he can make the difference. He has a devastating physicality, in 15 days he will be in the best condition, and he’ll be crucial on and off the pitch.”
Galliani joked that he tried to take the Swede to Silvio Berlusconi's Serie C club.
“Yes, I wanted to bring him to Monza. I called him to offer a great journey together.
“He laughed, then he understood that I was not joking. He became serious and declined the invitation and chose Milan, so that’s okay. He chose a solution that made me happy either way. My message is: Welcome back, warrior.”
The Swede could make his second Milan debut against Sampdoria after the conclusion of the winter break.
