Milan CEO Adriano Galliani has revealed he will fly to Lisbon on Friday to discuss the signing of Adil Rami.

The defender’s loan from Valencia has now expired but, speaking at the opening of the Rossoneri’s new Casa Milan, the 69-year-old said he wanted to bring the player to San Siro on a permanent basis.

“I’ve spoken to Rami and I told him that the deadline for us to sign him had passed,” Galliani told Milan Channel.

“We’ve already said no to Valencia in terms of signing him for the price proposed beforehand, but we are negotiating a new deal for his signing.

“I’m going to Lisbon on Friday for the Champions League final and I will meet Valencia directors in order to start new negotiations.

“Rami wants to stay, yesterday he had another great match and so we hope it all goes well.”

Galliani also said Ricky Kaka would almost certainly be staying at the club.

“Of course we will keep him. There is a 99.99 per cent chance he will stay with us!”
