Adriano Galliani insists he is not leaving Milan and asked for patience from fans, but admitted he’s “no longer talking to” Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The Vice-President is in St Petersburg for today’s Champions League game with Zenit, which kicked off at 17.00 UK time.

“Stephan El Shaarawy is not even 20 years old yet, so we must stay calm and not put too much responsibility on his shoulders,” Galliani told Sky Sport Italia.

“We are a young side and changed a great deal over the summer, so we ask for a little patience from the fans. We’re sure that this team will soon get back to its old glorious self.”

President Silvio Berlusconi announced on Tuesday that there was no truth to rumours Galliani would be axed.

“I am very happy with the words of President Berlusconi, but I never had doubts. There was never the chance of certain changes.”

However, Galliani did confirm Ibrahimovic’s fury at being told to leave Milan for Paris Saint-Germain.

“It is his birthday today and I sent good wishes to PSG, because we’re no longer talking.”
