Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani is in Paris this afternoon meeting with Paris Saint-Germain director Leonardo to discuss the transfer of Thiago Silva.

Galliani flew into the French capital this afternoon with his wife to meeting former colleague and current PSG counterpart Leonardo to discuss a reported €47m transfer for the Brazilian centre-back.

Pressed for the latest on the potential record amount to be paid for a defender, Galliani initially refused comment, before offering: “It is not final. I am here just to talk.”

Silva’s agent has also intimated that whilst negotiations between the San Siro outfit and the team coached by former Rossonero Carlo Ancelotti are open, the deal is not concluded at this stage.

Reports suggest that the Brazilian could be handed an annual salary with the Parisians anywhere in the region of €9-12m.
