Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani is confident Gennaro Gattuso will be a success on the Palermo bench in 2013-14.

Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani is confident Gennaro Gattuso will be a success on the Palermo bench in 2013-14.

“I’m really happy for Rino,” Galliani told Stadio News after the 35-year-old was confirmed in the hotseat by the Sicilians.

“He has the qualities to do really well on the Palermo bench.

“I am certain that all will go well and I wish him all of the very best for this new adventure.”

Gattuso left Milan last summer to continue his playing career with Swiss outfit Sion, a club whom he temporarily coached for a limited number of games in the campaign.

The 2006 World Cup winner, who replaces Giuseppe Sannino at the Stadio Barbera, has been asked to get the club back into the top flight following relegation.
