Negotiations continue between Galatasaray and Cagliari for striker Joao Pedro, who is also a target for Torino and Monza.

The forward is ready to leave Sardinia, as his contract only runs to June 2023 and the club was relegated to Serie B.

He had seemed ready for Monza or Torino, but things have changed over the last 48 hours, with Sportitalia reporting Galatasaray made an approach.

The same source, transfer expert Alfredo Pedullà, claims that talks are continuing between the Turkish side and Cagliari.

A formal offer is expected to reach €7-8m plus performance-related bonuses, with the asking price at €10m.

This transfer is not to be taken for granted, because Joao Pedro has been in Italy since 2014, is married to an Italian and has taken Italian citizenship to play for the Azzurri, so he might not be in any hurry to leave.

Despite Cagliari’s relegation, the Brazilian still scored 13 goals in 37 Serie A appearances this season, also providing four assists.
