Santos President Modesto Roma has ruled out a return to the club for Inter striker Gabriel Barbosa.

After admitting that it would be a dream if the player returned to the club, the man at the helm of the Brazilian side has now realised that the Nerazzurri are more likely to send the 20-year-old on loan in Italy.

After signing with the club for a reported fee of €28m in the summer, the striker has struggled for playing time both under former Coach Frank de Boer and current boss Stefano Pioli.

"Inter are not using Gabigol, but it is very unlikely that in January they will let him come back here on loan,” admitted to Radio Bandeirantes.

"They want the player to get used to the style of play in Europe, and thus to the Italian style.

"That's why Inter do not need him to come back here to Santos, and made me realise that they will loan him to an Italian team."
