Inter forward Gabriel Barbosa has revealed that his exuberant celebrations at the end of the Milan derby were a result of his ‘passion for the colours’.
The Brazilian, known as ‘Gabigol’ signed for the Nerazzurri from Santos in the summer for a fee reported to be in the region of €28m, but has yet to make a starting appearance for the club.
After his side scored a last-gasp equaliser in the Milan derby on Sunday night, the Sao Paulo-native jumped on new boss Stefano Pioli, prompting videos of the incident to be circulated on social media.
"I'm fine, everything's fine,” the 20-year-old told reporters after the game. “Now we have Pioli, I do not know how it will go, but I'm fine.
“I am a person who always gives a lot and I am passionate about my work.
“Perhaps my joy for the goal is the result of the passion I have had for these colors since childhood and that was what made me react like this."
