Sampdoria have confirmed an interest in Italian Under-21 striker Manolo Gabbiadini.

The forward, who spent 2012-13 on loan at Bologna, is co-owned between Juventus and Atalanta. Those two clubs have until June 20 to resolve his ownership or renew that agreement.

“We are in talks with Juventus about a number of things, but I won’t say any more than that,” Sampdoria President Edoardo Garrone told Sky Sport 24.

“Gabbiadini? He is one of the strikers who our boss Delio Rossi likes. It is true to say that he would be ideal for the way our Coach plays.”

Samp are in need of a new forward as Mauro Icardi will join Inter over the summer.
