The agent of Manolo Gabbiadini is adamant that his client will continue to fight for a regular place at Bologna.

The Italian Under-21 international is being linked with a return to Atalanta in January, the club who co-own him with Juventus.

However, Silvio Pagliari has told Tutto Atalanta that the youngster will see out the season at the Stadio Dall’Ara.

“I can categorically dismiss the option of an Atalanta return,” he noted. “He’s happy in Bologna and will stay there for the entire campaign.

“I’m certain that as the championship progresses, he will find more space in the team.”

Gabbiadini struggled for action last season and he’s only totalled 105 minutes of Serie A football so far this term.

“Atalanta and Juventus thought that the best option for him was to join a club who could offer him more opportunities,” Pagliari added.

“In Bergamo they have a really strong attacker in German Denis who, tactically speaking, can’t co-exist with Gabbiadini.

“But we are only at the beginning of the championship and it is too soon to fail this experience. He’s happy at Bologna and he has a great relationship with boss Stefano Pioli.”
