Italian Under-21 sensation Manolo Gabbiadini is concerned about his lack of playing time at Atalanta this season.

The young striker is regarded as a star of the future, but he’s been limited to just nine appearances in Serie A – eight as a substitute.

“We are worried because he has played for just 160 minutes so far this season,” agent Silvio Pagliari told SportItalia when questioned about the 20-year-old.

“It’s clear that we’d like to see him play more often.

“I always say that youngsters need to be fielded, but when a boy has scored 10 goals with the U-21 side then it means he’s already proved his worth.”

Gabbiadini has been linked with a variety of big clubs, but a Stadio Azzurri d’Italia exit is not on the horizon.

“Atalanta won’t consider his sale during this transfer session,” Pagliari continued. “We’ll evaluate his future in July.”

Gabbiadini’s use has been restricted in Bergamo given that German Denis has scored 12 goals in 18 games for the Nerazzurri.
